after losing his ODI
batting record
Paul Collingwood says Ian Bell "deserves"
to overtake him as England's top one-day international run-scorer.
"I'm
sure there will be plenty more hundreds and he'll amass a huge total of one-day
runs," said Collingwood.
"He's
helped make England's batting line-up their strongest of the last three World
Cups."
Bell,
who passed Collingwood's total when he reached 98 in England's 303-8, reached
his total in 32 fewer innings.
The
Warwickshire batsman had struggled for runs last year but returned to the ODI
side for the tri-series with Australia and India after Alastair Cook was removed as
captain following
the series defeat in Sri Lanka in December.
